Forged in the Power of Tradition
"Teesside was born from the Industrial Revolution, spawning the biggest iron ore mine in the world and the world’s biggest iron and steel works.
It is no surprise that Teesside has been world leader in engineering for nearly 200 years, whether it be the world’s first public railway designed, locally built and installed from Darlington to Stockton in Teesside in 1825. The world’s biggest arched bridge designed and built in Teesside using 51,000 tons of local steel and installed in Sydney Harbour, Australia by our forefathers in 1932. Or the 100,000 dwt FPSO North Sea Producer, designed and built by our own people at our facility in Teesside in 1996, where in 1841 Bolckow and Vaughan Ironworks existed, world renowned for high quality engineering and manufacturing. They were to give the world modern steel making methods with the introduction of the Thomas - Gilchrist process in 1875.
These long established engineering skills have been handed from father to son giving us our statement that the great Ironopolis Engineering is forged in the power of tradition. These experienced and versatile skills allow us to offer committed quality engineering services to customers around the world with emphasis on safety, on target production within budget and client satisfaction.
We maintain the tradition of the area by being the best in the world"
